Information We Collect

GentleUs uses account and task data you provide in the app, including your email address, username, partner connection, profile details, and relationship task content. If you use the Reflect section, it also stores the personal reflection notes you write there — see Private Reflections below, which are handled differently from everything else.

How We Use Information

We use this information to sign you in, sync your tasks, show connected partner information, and provide the core app experience.

Private Reflections

The Reflect section stores personal notes about interactions — what was said, how you reacted, and what you took it to mean. This content is private to your own account. Connecting a partner gives them no access to it: they cannot read your reflections, and the app shows them no counts, badges, or other signals that you have written any.

Reflection content is stored so it survives reinstalling the app or changing device, and it is protected by access rules that permit only your own account to read or write it. Pattern detection — recurring triggers, groupings, and the "same pattern as before" suggestion — runs entirely on your device. Reflection text is never sent to us, to any analytics service, or to any AI or machine-learning service for processing.

Reminders to revisit an entry are scheduled locally by the app on your device and are worded so they do not reveal what the entry is about. Deleting an entry removes it from storage and from all pattern calculations; deleting your account removes all reflection content with it.

Service Providers

GentleUs uses Firebase services for authentication and cloud data storage. Firebase may process data as needed to provide account, security, and database functionality.

No Ads or Tracking

GentleUs does not show ads and does not sell personal data. The app is designed around the relationship task experience, not advertising profiles.

Data Deletion

You can request account or data deletion by emailing support from the email address connected to your GentleUs account. Include "GentleUs account deletion" in the subject.
